Summary

In Chapter 25, even though Leah knew that everyone would be talking about the Article 32 hearing, she still went to work because she remembered her mother telling her how her absence, or presence, would speak volumes. In her office, Leah’s file drawer was empty and her computer did not recognize her username or password. She was surprised how quickly her files had been yanked.

Del’s nephews identified J-Man as Jack Welch. They said he was a loser and was in a band that played terrible music.

Meanwhile, Stanley met with Leah. She warned her that the base commander was not happy with the way the Article 32 hearing had blown up. He had hoped it would force a resolution. Stanley asked if Trejo had refused to plead because he knew the tape would disappear.
