Summary

In Part II, Chapter 10, the night before starting community service, Sean could not sleep. He kept thinking about what he would do “if someone broke into the flat” and tried killing him (105). In the morning, he walked to the Milltown cemetery. The supervisor, Joe, led him to the yard where a group was waiting. They spent the day collecting litter in the rain. On their smoke break, a man named Fra pushed Sean to tell him what he had done. Throughout the day, Fra kept sharing stories unsolicited.

Sean returned home to find Ryan packing his things. Since losing the flat and his job, he had decided to move in with Finty.
