Summary
Twenty years after the previous section, Willa gets a phone call from Baltimore as she is sorting her headbands. A woman she does not know named Callie says she is a neighbor of Willa’s daughter-in-law Denise. Willa tries to tell Callie that Denise was only Sean’s former girlfriend, but Callie ignores her and says Denise was hot in the leg and that her daughter, Cheryl, needs someone to look after her. She says she found Willa’s number in Denise’s emergency contacts, gives Willa her address and tells Willa to fly out that evening. Willa knows she will not go, but enjoys the thought of being someone’s grandmother. There I snot much going on in her life as she moved to Arizona with her husband, Peter, and she has not found another teaching job. Peter is out for hours...
