Summary

Chapter 15 jumps forward two months after Cleo and Frank have broken up. Cleo now stayed at Audrey’s apartment since Alex was living at Quentin’s and there was not room for her there. In the opening scene, Cleo was getting out of the shower when she noticed a neighbor watching her. She did not care that he had seen her body, but she was embarrassed that he witnessed her scar, which felt “more naked than naked” (294). She continued getting ready for an art exhibition party to celebrate her friend from school, Danny. But Cleo had ulterior motives as well: “She was going so Frank would see her” (296). Cleo was concerned about her appearance as she got on the bus to the island where the event would be. Quentin and Alex joined Cleo, and they bumped into a friend of Frank’s who told...
