Summary
In Chapter 9, “Places to Be” (88), Scoob and G'ma eat at a Cracker Barrel restaurant and Scoob watches as G'ma checks her phone and listens to messages from his father. Immediately after they get back on the road, G'ma stops again, this time at a jewelry store. Scoob asks G'ma what his dad said in the messages, but she does not respond. She asks the jewelry store clerk to see several different items and chats with him as she looks. She asks Scoob about the second time he got in trouble at school, and he explains. He figured out a way to change his grade in the computer system used in class, but he was not planning to actually do it.
