Summary

Part IV begins from the perspective of Lorenzo, who makes his way to the airport to travel back to New York to attend a meeting with Sergio, having told him that he was already in New York. Lorenzo had to ask for money from his parents in order to be able to afford the airfare.

In New York, Lorenzo stays with a friend whose life he envies. He attends a meeting with Sergio, and two other women named Anna and Daria. The narration alternates between Lorenzo’s experiences and Daria’s memories. Lorenzo tries to discuss the video but they deflect his questions. After the meeting, Lorenzo goes to an apartment with Anna and they have sex, some of which Anna films.

The next day Lorenzo receives a text message from Ludovica telling him not to come home. He tracks down...
