Riverdale Academy Day School

Riverdale Academy Day School is the private school that Liam, Drew, and Jordan attend. Drew hopes his second year at the school will be better, but he has only been on campus a few minutes when he and Andy almost have an altercation. Drew struggles to fit in with the mostly White student population, but they do things that frustrate him like touching his hair even though he has asked them not to do so. During this school year, the school officials decide to try to increase the unity among their students, but they do so in strange ways. For instance, they show a movie about a Black inner-city student, a movie that supports the stereotypes that Blacks are poor and rarely have a chance to better themselves. They also choose a White man to lead the diversity group.
