Drew

Drew is a dark-skinned Black boy who is one of the central characters in this novel. Drew is at the age where he is trying to decide where he fits in at the private school he attends and where he fits in in the world in general. He is disheartened when he visits Liam’s house and sees evidence of how rich that family is. Drew lives with his grandmother who works long hours to support them even though she is old. He is angered when he learns that Liam’s mother does not have to work. He is also shocked by the size of the Landers’ home and points out to Jordan how many families could live there.
