Chapters 10 through 13 Summary

In chapter ten, they discover the following day that two of the soldiers, who have been very afraid, have taken the boat and run away. Cesar says there's really no way for them to make their way to Santa Maria de la Lluvia on their own and knows that the group that went back earlier will be sending help. He says that help will return long before they could possibly make it back on foot.

Alex plays the flute one day and Nadia whispers to him that she believes the People of the Mist are again in the area. Nadia says she believes the people have come to hear Alex's music.
