Summary

Chapter 13, The Bone Chandelier – Azazel awaits an answer. Alec believes Azazel should be banished permanently. Magnus is not worried, having summoned demons hundreds of times, but he relents. When Magnus’s cat wanders into the Pentagram which holds Azazel, Simon jumps in to save the cat, but comes face to face with Azazel. When Azazel sees that Simon is protected by the hand of God, Azazel vanishes, wanting nothing more to do with them. Simon realizes he can summon an angel without being harmed. Angels, normally angry at being summoned by those other than God, will have no power against Simon. Not everyone likes the idea, especially Isabelle. Simon says what he is doing is for everyone, because he too can feel darkness coming, that a war will soon arrive. Simon seeks to summon Raziel.
