Summary

Luke spends most of the night at the Accords Hall in meetings regarding Valentine’s ultimatum. Luke wants the Clave to refuse to surrender and allow the Downworlders to fight in any resulting battle, but there is still resistance. During the meeting, Jace arrives and lures Luke outside. Jace tells Luke that he has found a way to trace Sebastian and that he is going after Valentine. Luke tries to talk him out of it, but he can see that Jace is determined. Luke promises to explain things to Clary.

Clary wakes and finds a note from Jace. Clary is upset when she goes downstairs to breakfast. Simon and Isabelle are there making breakfast. Clary pulls Isabelle aside and shows her Jace’s letter, but she refuses to help Clary find Jace. Isabelle believes this is something...
