Epilogue Summary

In the Epilogue, Clary goes to visit Simon who is still amazed at his ability to withstand sunlight. Simon says Raphael is angry about Simon's transformation and has no idea what caused it. Simon tells Clary that he doesn't think they should continue trying to have a romantic relationship. Clary questions him and Simon says he wants to stop hoping that Clary will someday fall in love with him. He says he would rather see someone else and hope he can someday fall in love with someone who loves him in return.

Luke is waiting when Clary leaves Simon's house. He says he can't help panicking whenever she isn't with him and that he plans to keep a close eye on her for the coming years. They head to the hospital and Clary questions Luke about his relationship with Jocelyn. He says he'd...
