Chapter Fifteen, Chapter Sixteen, Chapter Seventeen Summary

Chapter Fifteen begins with the travelers leaving Evanna's cave and all of them, except Evanna, were quiet and feeling subdued about her prediction. Later near dawn as they were making camp Vancha bursts out laughing and teases everyone about feeling so depressed. He reminds them that most of the prophecy was known before they left the mountain and for the rest of it, who wants to be around if the Vampaneze wins anyway. The unlucky person will be the one who survives. When what Vancha said sinks in everyone's spirits lift. When deciding where to go to follow their heart Vancha asks Darren where he would like to go.
