Chapter Twelve, Chapter Thirteen, Chapter Fourteen Summary

In Chapter Twelve, the moon is full when Darren, Crepsley, Vancha and Harkat arrive at Evanna's cave. Darren has to be shown the hidden entrance. Vancha shows him how the frogs protect Evanna's home with their poison. The four travelers sit outside of her entrance waiting for her to invite them inside. Vancha tells Darren to be certain not to call Evanna a witch. After they have been outside her entrance a half hour Evanna comes out. To Darren she is the ugliest woman he has ever seen. She is dressed in ropes and she is squat with long, wild hair. One eye is brown and the other is green. She has a long mustache and thick beard.
