Chapters 7-12 Summary
Anita and the rest of the crowd stand on the outside of the ring, watching the giant cobra. One man is dead while another may still be alive. Everyone's eyes are on the snake except for Jean-Claude, who is staring at Anita. Jean-Claude attempts to get Anita to go to him but Anita fights it. Suddenly, Jean-Claude is at Anita's side, telling her if they put their powers together, the snake can be stopped. Jean-Claude explains that the Egyptians worshipped the snake as a god and Anita realizes that the snake has its own powers. A man eating snake is bad enough. A man eating snake with magical powers is worse. Anita refuses to allow Jean-Claude to enter her mind and instead suggests shooting the cobra in the head. It is not known if silver plated bullets can hurt it but...
