Book Three, Chapter Thirty - Chapter Thirty-two Summary

Chapter Thirty finds Cinder inside her booth at the market, in the midst of a festival in which she can't participate. Cinder is not busy, because she is turning away all customers so she can leave while Adri and Pearl are at the ball. She has bought gasoline for her now running car using the money Erland has wired her, and plans to escape with Iko's personality chip and Peony's ID chip. While she feels sorry for herself, Kai arrives in her booth, teasing her that he must be having trouble with his port, since she isn't returning his comms.
