Summary

The beginning of Chapter 13: Surgical Transplant finds Duyole in flight from Abuja to Lagos. His departure by plane from Villa Potencia was immediate. He calls Menka as soon as he touches down in Lagos, from the VIP lounge of the airport. Menka relays to him that the arson was in all probability just an act of intimidation by the body part mafia and was likely never meant to physically harm him or his clubmates.

Duyole tries to cajole Menka into relocating to Lagos. He acknowledges that the surgeon has plethora options now that he has been nationally recognized. He implores him to consider his options. Duyole’s own base of operations is in Badagry, right beside Lagos. Duyole reflects on their youthful ambition of opening a clinic in Gumchi.
