Summary
Christopher’s mother taught him and Anna a new game. Christopher seemed to always lose at first, and he turned his back on his mother and sister and refused to play anymore. His mother told him he needed to learn to lose graciously. When she lost her first game, she pointed out to Christopher that he should be a gracious loser like she was. With her second loss, she scolded Anna for not counting correctly and Christopher for duplicating an answer. On her third loss, their mother said she was too tired to play any longer, scolded Anna again for counting too fast, and Christopher for making up a nonsense term.
