Mandy’s home is one of the major settings in the novel. Several times during the holidays she entertains her family in her home. The novel opens in Mandy’s home as she discovers her children lying under the Christmas tree, looking at the lights, like she and her sisters did as children. Jill and Billy make Mandy’s home feel more like Christmas when they stay with her in her home during the holidays.
