Summary

In Chapter 7, as Gina tried to decide what to wear to her dinner with Alex, she thought how easy it was to dress to spend time with Jared. She had felt no pressure with Jared, but she wanted to look special for Alex. When Gina asked Alex about his job, he bragged he would be moving up to Portfolio Manager in a few years and would make significantly better money. Gina told him her degree was in fine arts, but she had gotten out of the habit of painting. She explained she liked the fast pace of the restaurant and enjoyed the mix of management and work at the bar. Alex indicated he had enjoyed the restaurant, but he had been ready to get a real job.
