Summary

In Chapter Eight, the Chosen Ones arrived at the agency, which was built around a Drain site, Sloane felt magic when she went inside, which was strange because she usually never felt magic near a Drain site. The agents showed them three videos, one of an ocean storm that seems a bit magical, one of a girl who fell into the sky, and one of a cornfield, farmer, and tractor that were all submerged under water. The agents explained that magical incidents had been happening frequently without any reason. To better understand magic, they had built a machine that channeled magic. The agents wanted their help since they were the only ones who knew how to wield magic effectively. Sloane said she would never help them create weapons, and Matt agreed, but Albie said he wanted to help them.
