Summary
In Chapter Three, Sloane and her friends try not to laugh as the mayor gives a long, tedious speech. After he is finished, they walk through the monument and Sloane is almost moved to tears by its significance. Albie had massive depression, like Sloane, because he had also been kidnapped by the Dark One. and Sloane told the others to let him go in first to have some time alone. She went in alone and saw that the artist had written the name of every person who had been killed by the Dark One in tiny letters. She asked Albie if he had found his father, and he said there was no way he could. The rest of the team came in and started joking around.
