Chapter 35

Kylie wakes Derek, and he quickly explains that Jenny came to him after running away from the compound because she knew that Kylie would be closely guarded. Derek promises nothing has happened between them. Kylie decides that they should go to Hayden about Jenny. Kylie then asks Derek about her vision and realizes the ghost is Lucinda Esparza, Mario’s daughter-in-law. Kylie tells this to Burnett and Holiday. Derek and Kylie convince Burnett and Holiday that nothing is going on. Derek then walks Kylie to her cabin and promises to do some research for her. When Kylie falls asleep, she dreamscapes in Lucas’s mind. Kylie tells Lucas that she might consider taking him back if he promises not to give up his desire to be on the council.
