Chapter Sixteen, Seventeen, and Eighteen Summary

Chapter Sixteen: Wahoo assumes their job is over and they should go home, since Derek will need rabies shots. He mentions the possibility of getting a plane ticket so Tuna can join her mother in Chicago, but Tuna rejects the idea. Mickey emerges from the scrub with a pair of rat snakes. Link arrives, looking for Derek. The reality star isn't in his tent this morning, and an ambulance is waiting for him back at the souvenir shop. Mickey bags the snakes and the group sets off to find Derek. They encounter another search group, including Raven, whose red hair is laced with spiderwebs. The director wonders if a bear got Derek, but Mickey explains there would be blood and bones. Mickey thinks Derek is hiding. They hear the sound of an airboat firing up...
