6-10 Summary

Victor goes to see his mum again. She still thinks he is Fred, but just before he goes she calls out his real name and says she needs to talk to him about something important. Victor sits down and she is just going into her story when something distracts her and she presses the nurse's bell. When Victor leaves, Dr. Marshall comes up and asks what he would say if she could restore his mother's mind. Victor tells her "god forbid" and leaves. Victor visits again and his mother thinks he is Fred. She starts talking about how Victor has wasted his life and a promising career as a doctor. Victor argues back as Fred. He says, maybe her son dropped out of medical school to look after her.
