Summary

Chapter 18: Jerry wakes in the night thinking about his mother and death. He ponders the possibility of being buried alive. He jumps out of bed damp with sweat. He fears he has made the wrong choice by not taking the chocolates earlier that day. For ten days he had waited for that afternoon to be finally able to say yes to Brother Leon.
