Summary

The spider soldiers use silk covered glass to relay information back to the planet so that Bianca can give them orders as they move. Bianca tells Portia to continue destroying sensors until they find a way into the ship. Kern helps them navigate and Portia finds a hatch and she is forced to wait as acid breaks through the hull. They lose all radio contact as the Gilgamesh begins attacking again.

On the Gilgamesh, Karst cheers at the destruction of the radio. Holsten says they cannot repeat the Old Empire’s mistakes as the spiders might be evolved like they are. Vitas calls this impossible and says they must destroy what is trying to destroy them. Karst moves his army prepared to fight once the spiders get inside.
