Summary

On the Gilgamesh, Holsten is shocked to see that most of the cargo has been let out and many of them have had children, something the Gilgamesh was not made for. After being imprisoned for around a month, he is freed by a second group and taken to Lain. She explains that Guyen created a cult and all original cargo has been killed or died over many generations. Holsten says Guyen must want to upload himself and live forever. Lain confirms this, but says he can only upload himself to the Gilgamesh which cannot handle the data of a human brain. However, even if he succeeds, it is unlikely that he will protect the people once uploaded, as he will no longer need them, as the Gilgamesh has been outfitted with a self repair system.
