'There are Too Many of Us' Summary

Miro and Young Valentine continue the work they have been engaged in since shortly after the time when Jane and Ender's stepchildren worked out the logistics of faster than light travel. At the rate of about three planets a day, they voyage in a conventional spacecraft, using Jane's ability to send them instantly to prospective planets in order to assess whether they are suitable for colonization or not. The work is exhausting and Miro truly marvels at how Young Val is able to keep going without wearing out the way he does, sometimes needing to rest while she keeps working. During their return to Lusitania one day, Miro is greeted by his brothers, sisters and Old Valentine, which alerts him to some sort of meeting about to take place.
