Summary

In Chapter 18, the sentaro introduces himself as Lekan to Zelie and the others. He takes them into a domed room with a mural that comes to life with magic and he tells them the story of the ten Maji clans with different powers. He says that the king killed magic when he killed all the sentaros and stole the artifacts from the sanctuary. The scroll brings back magic into the world, but only temporarily. In order to restore it permanently, they must gather all three artifacts and perform a ritual lead by Zelie on an island in less than a month or magic will die forever. Lekan reveals that he has the bone dagger and knows where the sunstone can be found. Lekan does a ritual on Zelie using blood magic to awaken her full magic and prepare her to lead the ritual...
