Perspective
The book is written in the third person with the narrator being the author. The author provides all the necessary background and details, and there are plenty of them as a result of the author's extensive research. The third person point of view allows the author to do this without any limitations. The author can explain the details of the settings and events as well as other details of the story. The restrictions of the use of the first person point of view are absent since the knowledge of the reader isn't restricted to scenes involving the main character and narrator. The many characters can be introduced and their relationship to the main character and events can be explained easily.
