Chapters 28 - 30 Summary
They begin by explaining that the Proteus formula will be the energy source or the platform on which all other research and invention will be built on. Proteus solves the gateway problem and Amedeo will then license it to scientists that are pursuing the invention of bloodstream devices. The analogy given is that Proteus is the engine that will take researchers wherever they want to go. The test is started and Henry turns out the lights, and dons a set of heat resonance goggles he had placed on a nearby hook earlier in anticipation of this meeting. He watches Goddard's face light up and knows at that moment that they have him. The money is theirs and even more importantly to Henry, he feels pride in his science that overcame everything else.
They run two more experiments and Goddard is happy...
