Chapters 24 - 25 Summary
Pierce is on the phone with Charlie when Janis Langwiser arrives. He tells Condon that he has to go, but insists that Charlie try to push the meeting with Maurice back a few days at least. Charlie assures him that he'll try, but reminds him that Maurice is not the type to be put off or delayed. He hangs up and Janis introduces herself. After inquiring about his health, she asks him why he believes he needs a criminal attorney. When Henry is sure that they have a professional relationship, he tells her all of it. She asks what medications Henry was on while Renner interrogated him, and takes notes that include everything from Robin to Isabella and how his admission of guilt stemmed from his feelings about his sister, not Robin.
