Summary
In Chapter 3, Lincoln researches Mason Troyer online and finds that Mason has a history of misdemeanors. Lincoln also finds that Mason was accused of sexual harassment in the 1990s. Lincoln, Teddy, and Mickey all meet at the Chilmark house, where they will be staying for the weekend. Mickey arrives on his motorcycle. He has a scar on his head from a past motorcycle accident. He is a professional musician and audio engineer. The three of them converse indoors. For a moment, they talk about Justine “Jacy” Calloway, who had been a friend of theirs at Minerva. They recall a time in 1971 when they and Jacy vacationed at the Chilmark house. Jacy had apparently vanished during that vacation, and she has generally been presumed dead.
