Summary
Pages 156 through 167-- In this chapter, Pohpoh and Mala's timelines begin to converge, culminating in a series of physical exchanges between the two versions of the principle character. At the start of this chapter, the reader is plunged back into Mala's memory of Pohpoh navigating Paradise at night. She uses her senses and her relationship to the natural world to help her move through the darkness until she arrives at a house, tonight's target, where she imagines a fairytale family lives. She climbs a tree in their backyard, crawling along its branches like an iguana until she is able to drop down through the window, into a baby's room.
