Book 4, Chapter 30-35 Summary
Flynn conveys some more demands to Schroeder. He basically doesn't want the police to try anything. He wants a television and continuous news coverage during the night. He also wants to hold a press conference at 10 pm that night. Schroeder says that he can't make any promises. Schroeder comes away from the conversation feeling that Flynn is beginning to trust him. He thinks that he is correct in believing that Flynn has no intention of killing anyone or of being killed. Burke doesn't agree. Schroeder tell him to stay out of his job and to let him handle Flynn.
Father Murphy tells the Cardinal that he wants to say confession. They walk to the confessional without asking which causes a commotion. Once in the confessional, as Father Murphy begins to send the Morse Coded message, Hickey opens the curtain...
