Summary

Chapter 1 is titled “Time Wasters.” Lil' Petey (the cat) and Molly (the tadpole) welcome the 21 frogs to the Cat Kid Comic Club meeting. Lil' Petey asks if anyone has “something they'd like to share” (7). Melvin raises his hand and repeats “Oh!” until Molly calls on him. He then announces that Naomi is kicking him. The argument becomes heated. Flippy tells Naomi to stop. Naomi claims to be hurt that Flippy assumes Melvin is telling the truth. Flippy apologizes. Then, Naomi says she was kicking him. Naomi whispers to Melvin who then reports that she called him a tattletale. Flippy says they will go to the time-out rock unless they stop arguing. They promise to be kind, but their looks become angry when Flippy's back is turned. Molly says that “the time wasters” have thrown them...
