Point of View

Graphic novels are generally written from a limited perspective. The reader knows only what is happening with specific characters and in specific places at any given time. Other characters may be going about their business without the reader's knowledge. For example, Sarah Hatoff talks to a group of frogs about the demands of being creative. One of the frogs directs her to a terrible place upstairs. Sarah experiences a deep sense of dread as she nears the room. When she enters, she finds a group of frogs who are supposed to be working on a comic book that is to be published. These frogs say they are supposed to be creating new characters for their comic, but they have no ideas and are basically stuck.
