Summary

Chapter 1 is titled “Winter Is Coming.” Sarah Hatoff is giving a report of the problems facing the Cat Kid Comic Club. With a cameraman at her side, she reports that the comic club is no longer meeting. Sarah talks to Flippy the Fish who is “the father of twenty-two baby frogs who started this club” (7). Sarah shows a photo of the frogs, including Molly who is actually a tadpole. She says Li'l Petey was also involved. Sarah asks why the club has come to a halt. Flippy says the situation has become stressful. He confirms that the comic that is to be published is the reason. Just then, a frog runs up to tell Flippy that Naomi, Starla, and Summer are fighting. Flippy rushes toward the camper where they live with Sarah and her cameraman following. The fight has escalated to name calling...
