Point of View

Cat Kid Comic Club is written and illustrated from an omniscient perspective. This perspective is necessary because none of the characters are present for every scene. There are multiple story lines. The characters of the main story are a combination of creatures – frogs, a tadpole, a fish, a cat, and two humans. These characters present their ideas and opinions about an array of subjects but their perspectives are limited by their situations. For example, Flippy is the father of the frogs who are creating the comics. Flippy hates that the comics include potty humor, violence, and destruction. From his perspective, there is nothing funny or entertaining about these topics and he wants the frogs to stop writing about that.
