Point of View

The novel is written from an omniscient perspective which means the reader has a view of various characters as they go about their actions independently of each other. A limited perspective means the reader only sees and knows what one specific character observes. This novel requires the omniscient view because there is not any character who is present for all the scenes. All the characters are involved in a few scenes, but there are other scenes that just involve a few characters. For example, Sarah follows Summer and Starla as they walk through the forest in search of photos for their next comic creation. In that scene, only Sarah, her dog, her cameraman, Summer, and Starla are present. In a later scene, Melvin and Naomi run an errand alone.
