Summary

Chapter 1 is titled “Off to a Bad Start.” The title page shows Flippy the fish face-to-face with Molly the tadpole while Petey the cat sits on a rock. The story opens with reporter Sarah Hatoff introducing Petey and Molly as the president and vice-president of the comic club. She asks if they are excited about the news. The next panel shows both Petey and Molly standing at the microphone saying nothing. In the next panel, they both say, “Yeah.” Sarah calls a halt to the interview. She reminds Petey and Molly that they are supposed to be carrying on a conversation.
