Tuin Island

With the exception of a few weeks on Badu, and a week’s stay for Lucy in the hospital on Thursday Island, Tuin Island is the setting for Castaway’s main present-time narrative. Tiny Tuin is situated between two larger Islands, Badu and Moa, Torres Strait between the Northern tip of Australia and Papua New Guinea, between the Coral and Arafura Seas and while Islanders visit there to farm tubers or fish, like Ronald, Tuin has remained uninhabited, which makes it an ideal candidate for G’s planned adventure.
