Summary

Chapter 12, Circles, opens Phase IV-Getting Away Again, with Lucy and G returning to Tuin, to Lucy’s relief and G’s vexation, as it means that he will need to travel back and forth to Badu as he continues working on Red Rose the tractor. Lucy has come to enjoy the sexual chemistry she has found with G and is happy to face life on Tuin with him. One day they receive a new visitor, Osa, the Chairman of a settlement on neighboring Moa Island, asks G’s help in fixing a diesel-powered industrial-size freezer donated by the Australian government to store cray catches until market.
