Summary

In Chapter 11, Akos, who had been awakened by the drums signaling the beginning of the festival, asked how the people knew where to go to scavenge. Cyra took him through the walls to show him the room where the examiners worked. There was a hologram of the solar system, complete with a rendering of the current. The workers there would study the flow of the current to decide which planet to scavenge. Even though the workers saw the most current activity around Orga, they said they did not think the current made any difference in this year’s scavenge since Ryzek was asking specifically for information about Pitha. Cyra knew her brother was probably interested in that planet for the information he could get from them about weapons.
