Chapter 7-8 Summary

Bertram Wooster and his friend, Oliver Randolph Sipperley, referred to simply as Sippy, are being brought before a judge and ordered to pay a fine. Bertie and Sippy had gone to school together. Sippy happened to cross Bertie's path and tells him that he has been ordered by his wealthy aunt to visit some of his distant relatives whom he hasn't seen since he was ten. He has no desire to go, and so Bertie tells Sippy the smart thing to do is to go and steal a constable's helmet. Bertie is able to pay the fine, but the judge refuses to let Sippy simply pay the fine and gives him thirty days in jail. Sippy knows when his aunt finds out that he didn't go visit the family like she ordered him to, he will be in trouble. Jeeves tells...
