Carnality

The show Carnality is symbolic of human nature. When Ada conceives of the show, she tells Lucia it will be a place people can come for help with their carnal desire. Together, Ada, Yulman, and Lucia will guide their guests back towards their souls. Over time, however, Ada and Yulman begin to exploit the most basic aspects of their guests' and followers' natures. Therefore, the author uses Carnality as a way to explore the complexity of the human condition.

Miss Pink and Mister Blue

Miss Pink and Mister Blue, Ada's and Yulman's Carnality alter egos, are symbolic of manipulation and cruelty. The author uses their assumed identities as Miss Pink and Mister Blue to convey the ways in which all humans are capable of violence and abuse.
