Summary
Chapter 50 is written from Robin’s perspective. Robin is at her parents’ house as everyone prepares for the wedding. She and her mother go to talk to the vicar. Robin thinks of a question she had as a child and being disappointed when her mother had found the answer because she liked being the only one who wanted to know the truth. She talks to Strike and finds out that Wardle is on leave and Detective Inspector Roy Carver, who dislikes Strike, is his replacement. She tells him how she found Brockbank’s address. His response makes her happy.
