Israel describes how her career as a biographer and a writer worked in her favor, helping her develop forging techniques to make her work appear authentic and believable. As a biographer, Israel learned how to be careful and precise in her research and her notation of fact in her forged letters. Israel also describes the way she was careful with fonts and paper types in order to keep her letters as authentic as possible.
