Summary

The only perk David Sedaris sees to being middle-aged is the acquisition of a guest room. The consequence of a guest room, however, is that they attract guests, particularly if you live in Europe as Sedaris does. When David and his partner Hugh had a country house in Normandy, there was not much to entertain their guests, but their current home in West Sussex has plenty of nearby diversions for visitors. If front of their guests, Hugh and David play the role of the perfect couple, though they do not always succeed.
